Everything 20 has to happen this month. But I survived! 21 22 From the blog since my last recently post: 23 24 • [13]Do something about it 25 • [14]2025 Year in review 26 27 🍀 Life 28 29 Holidays, dinners, family gatherings, visits, dinners, sickness. You name it. 30 This month, we had it all! 31 32 Christmas was really chill this year at my SO’s family. Fantastic food, 33 excellent company, and our daughter got to open a bunch of gifts. 34 35 For New Year Eve today, we’re eating dinner with friends of ours that has a 36 daughter the same age as ours. We’ll head home before the fireworks start and 37 just take in the new year by watching a movie and doing a no-stress 38 celebration. 39 40 🎬 Entertainment 41 42 From my [15]logs. 43 44 Movies 45 46 • Idiocracy (2006) – I remembered this movie being better… 47 • General Magic (2019) – Incredible story. I had never heard about this 48 General Magic company before watching this doc. And like the doc clearly 49 lays out, they were ahead of their time with their “smartphone”, but they 50 absolutely paved the way for Apple, and others. 51 • Rain Man (1988) – I believe Tom Cruise is like this in real life, he’s not 52 actually acting 😂 53 • Sick of Myself (2022) – WTF. The director/writer must know someone like 54 this. And it’s sick that people actually will go to these lengths just for 55 attention. And I see a clear similarity between The Substance and this 56 movie. 57 • Avatar: Fire and Ash (2025) – It has touching moments, a bunch of weird 58 dialog and even cringe dialog. The action was cool, but what threw me off 59 from the whole movie and annoyed me from start to end was that some of the 60 movie is 24 FPS and some of it is 48 (felt higher). So whenever the movie 61 went from 48 to 24 FPS the movie felt like a videogame and felt like it was 62 lagging. 63 • Marty Supreme (2025) – This movie had everything: an obnoxious protagonist, 64 obnoxious supporting characters, likable story, fucked up events, awesome 65 setting (1950s). This movie kept me entertained from start to finish. 66 67 TV 68 69 Still watching Pluribus S1, we also started watching Fallout S2. 70 71 Games 72 73 Still playing a lot of ARC Raiders. I feel like a kid when I get to play it. 74 The game is so easy to just pick up, and if I end up losing, it’s not the end 75 of the world. Needless to say that we don’t need to be public through 88 social media, but do whatever floats your boat :) 89 • [21]Thin Desires Are Eating Your Life – Excellent post about not gaining or 90 losing weight! 91 • [22]How to be exceptional at anything – Simple (not easy) and effective 92 habits to live by! 93 • [23]You Are Dating an Ecosystem – I guess this is true for a lot of people. 94 I feel like this isn’t true for me at least. 95 • [24]Cassette Futurism – I love cassette futurism, it’s like synthwave but 96 visual art. 97 • [25]All it takes is for one to work out – This. 98 • [26]The Creator’s Oath – “I reject the siren call of market trends, praise, 99 or pressure.” 100 • [27]Programming peaked – “Everything was better before”.
